Ever since he appeared as Joni Mitchell at the very first Wigstock in the Fabulous 80's, John Kelly has cast a spell of illusion that has continued to captivate audiences, including the subject matter herself, Joni Mitchell the poet, painter and singer. In this loving homage John Kelly the award winning and extremely gifted performance artist inhabits the persona of Joni in a very intimate 90 minute journey through song and reflections on life.
 
John's on going journey as a performing and visual artist began in the 80's in NYC ,and has spanned the spectrum from Bar Rooms to Broadway and the world. He has created more than 30 performance works which have been performed in Italy, Sweden, Australia, Germany, Slovenia, Paris and Scotland in venues as varied as, The Anvil, The Pyramid Club, The Kitchen, Carnegie Hall, Edinburgh International Festival, American Repertory Theater, PS 1, The Warhol Museum, The Belasco Theater, The Whitney Biennial, Dance Theater Workshop, Central Park Summer Stage, The Sundance Theatre Lab, La MaMa, Performance Space 122, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Next Wave Festival. John Kelly's first appearance in Seattle was in a co production by The Swedish Housewife and On The Boards in 1992.
